Ella Bessie Banks Jones, of Swissvale, Pennsylvania, transitioned to her heavenly Father Monday, July 30, 2018. She was 66.

Born June 8, 1952, in Vicksburg, she was a graduate of Rosa A. Temple High in 1970 and attended Alcorn State University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Barbara F. Banks and son, Trawick A. Banks Winn.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at Bethel AME Church in Vicksburg. She was a member of Holiday Memorial AME in Braddock, Pennsylvania. 

She is survived by her children, Bertram Banks Winn (Timiko), Tommy Winn Jr., Candace Winn Walker (Suli), and Jeffery Winn; her brothers, Preston (Ruby) Banks and Leonard Banks of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.

Services are Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. Holiday Memorial AME, 600 Talbot Ave., Braddock, Pennsylvania.
