Funeral services for Marie Cox are to be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, in Beech Grove M. B. Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Michael Reed officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Aug. 17, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Marie Annette Cox passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, in St Dominic’s Hospital following a brief illness. She was 61.

She had worked for Merit Health River Region Medical Center.  She was a member of the Beech Grove M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Julia Reynolds, Sr., and her sister Dorothy Doss.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Elbert Cox, of Vicksburg; her stepdaughter, Stacey Williams of Vicksburg; her brothers, the Rev. Harrison Reynolds, Jr. of Jackson, and Carlos Reynolds of New York City; her sisters, Marie Rogers, Doris Shelton and Belinda Reynolds, all of Vicksburg.
