Man looking at jail time for firing gun in city limits

A Vicksburg man faces the possibility of a $500 fine and 30 days in jail after his arrest Saturday for discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Louis Fumbanks, 56, 1408 Parkway Drive, was arrested for reportedly firing a gun on Parkway Drive about 8:52 p.m. Saturday.
In another case, Curtis Renord Thigpen, 51, 1807 Cherry St., was arrested about 11:21 a.m. on Iowa Boulevard on warrants from the Mississippi Department of Corrections charging him with probation and parole violations.
In other cases:
• Police are looking for a person who shot into an occupied car at the intersection of Jefferson and Locust streets about 12:43 a.m. Saturday. No one was wounded.
• $6 in change was reported taken about 11:29 a.m. Sunday from a car parked in the 2400 block of Cherry Street.
• A Blue Tooth CD player valued at $900 was reported taken about 6 a.m. Sunday from a car parked at the Riverwalk Casino, 1046 Warrenton Road.
• A 1985 TRX 250 four-wheeler was reported taken about 3:18 p.m. Sunday from the parking lot of the Dixieana Motel 4041 Washington St.
• A 2013 Honda PCX 150 motorcycle parked in the 1000 block of Jackson Street was reported taken about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
• Shots were reported fired about 5:54 a.m. Sunday on Patton Street.
• A shipment of 10, 55-inch flat screen TVs were reported taken about 12:55 p.m. from Motel 6, 4127 I-20 Frontage Road.
• A black Galaxy pad, gold Motorola cell phone and $10 in change were reported taken about 8:21 p.m. from a car parked in the 2700 block of Alma Drive.
• Shots were reported fired on Mission 66 about 11:14 p.m. Saturday.
• Three grass trimmers valued at $269 each and a leaf blower were reported taken about 10:52 a.m. Friday from a city storage area at Halls Ferry Park.
• A window air conditioning unit was reported taken about 9:30 a.m. Friday from C&W Homes, 5540 U.S. 61 South.
• A Hoverboard was reported taken about 9:19 p.m. from a home in the 100 block of Eastover Drive.
