Helen Gibson Leggett

Helen Gibson Leggett died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at the Heritage House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 95.
A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she was a retired employee of Waterways Experiment Station where she was an administrative clerk serving for 27 years. She and her late husband, Glenn Leggett, were avid R.V.er’s and campers. She was a member of Crossway Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Matthews, Mary Jo Oakes and Dorris Reynolds, and her brother, Langston E. Gibson.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Elam Jowers (Sam) of Grandbury, Texas; her grandchildren, Kelly Frederick (Scott) of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Stacy Dorris (Jim) of Hernando; and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. T.J. Tennison officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood funeral home.
