4 of 7 escapees from Madison Parish facility on the loose

Four of the seven inmates who escaped Wednesday from the Madison Parish Correctional Center in Tallulah remain at-large after climbing a fence around midday.

According to Trooper Michael Reichardt with the Louisiana State Police, three of the escapees have been captured.

“The remaining escapees are considered dangerous and if located, should not be confronted,” Reichardt said.

The four escapees who have not been recaptured include:

Joshua Lewis, 24, (black male, 5-feet 10-inches tall, 170 pounds)

Earl Hollins, 23, (black male, 5-feet 9-inches tall, 145 pounds)

Devario R. Turner, 35, (black male, 5-feet 7-inches tall, 195 pounds)

Leedarius Rogers, 25, (black male, 5-feet 9-inches tall, 135 pounds)

Turner was serving 30 years and Rogers 20 years, both for armed robbery. Lewis was serving 20 years for manslaughter and Hollins 10 years for aggravated assault, simple robbery and possessing a firearm.

According to state corrections spokesman Ken Pastorick, officers from four agencies and three chase teams from three prisons are after the other four inmates.

The three back in custody are identified as Terrell Casby, 28, serving 25 years for armed robbery in Jefferson Parish; Keith Rogers, 37, serving 14 years for two counts of simple robbery in Caddo Parish; and Zamar Tucker, 19, serving 10 years for armed robbery and simple robbery in Caddo Parish.

The escape, which was reported sometime between 11:30 and noon Wednesday, caused Madison Parish High School in Tallulah to be placed on lockdown until around 4 p.m.

The facility, which is operated by LaSalle Southwest Corrections, has a capacity of 334 inmates, according to its website.
