Mrs. Margie Ree January passed away on Sept. 10, 2018, at Promise Hospital. She was 63.

She was born in Port Gibson, and lived a number of years in Pattison.  She graduated from Port Gibson High School. She was a member of the Forrest Grove Christian Church. She retired from Grand Gulf Nuclear Station and Hermanville Fire Department.

Survivors include her children: John (Kristi) January, Jr. of Byram, Angela (Levi) January-Wyatt, Byron L. January, both of Vicksburg, and Elmo R. January of McComb; 14 grandchildren, Jazzlyn January, ZeBedee Anderson, Jr., ZeBria Anderson, Jabarri January, Jada January, Trevon January, Jaheim January Byrum January, Jr., Adrianna January, Dominique January, Kaliyah January, Alaina January, London January, Elissa January; six sisters, four brothers, life-long companion Elmo McBride Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m.
