Charles Donald “Don” Walley

Charles Donald “Don” Walley was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Buckatunna, and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at home in Vicksburg.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Nollie Walley of Natchez, and Quida Nell “Busby” Walley of Vicksburg; his brothers, Jerry Walley of Natchez, James Walley and Joe Walley, both of Vicksburg; sisters, Betty Jean Tarver, Mary Simmons, both of Natchez, and Brenda Dawkins of Vicksburg.

Don served in the armed forces, worked in the oil field and retired from West Coast Lumber.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynette Broadus (Blake) of Foley, Alabama, and Donna Ratliff (Paul) of Gulfport; three grandchildren, Michael Kinstley (Amber) of Vicksburg, London Ratliff and Cierra Ratliff of Gulfport; three great grandchildren, Lanie Grace, Rielynn and Easton Kinstley of Vicksburg; Aunt Doris Busby of Brandon, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

A memorial will be at Wilson Wood Lodge at 1040 Mallet Road in Vicksburg, on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, from 2-4 p.m.

Donations can be made to Natchez Children’s home, 806 N Union St., Natchez, MS 39120 in honor of the Walley family.
