Russell Martin Braswell died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at his home. He was 65.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1952, to his parents Royce and Jimmie Pearson Braswell. He worked as a Property Disposal Specialist for the U. S. Government in Vicksburg for 34 1/2 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy Dent Braswell; and his sister, Bettye Jo Kaminski.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Suzanne Burks; his niece, Leigh Ann Clark; nephew, Steve Kaminski; great-nieces, Alexandra Clark and Kaitlyn Kaminski; granddaughter, Alexandria (Lexie) Rose Whitaker; best friend, Judy Adams and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Suzanne Burks will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Vaughan, Jr., Wilson Braswell, Denon Braswell, Jr., Jackie Collins, Bobby Turner, Jerry Bailey, Jimmy Pace and Jeremy Primm. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Vaughan, Ralph Pace, Denon Braswell, Buster Braswell, James Braswell and Buddy Irby.
