Hugh Lucas Logue

Hugh Lucas Logue went to his eternal home Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center. He was 71.
Hugh was born June 20, 1947, in Vicksburg to the late Hugh L. and Ella Mae Barnes Logue.
He was a 1965 graduate of J.H. Culkin Academy and a 1967 graduate of Hinds Junior College.
He was a master electrician for Waterways Experiment Station (later ERDC), retiring in 1991. He served as a volunteer coach for the YMCA Little League Football and Culkin Baseball Association for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy L. Kittrell; a sister-in-law, Joanne C. Leblanc; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy M. Buell.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Myra Coccaro Logue; a son, Trey Logue; a daughter, Dana Logue Phelps (Chad); a granddaughter, Laura Reagan Logue; a grandson, Chase Brandt; and a step-grandson, Britt Phelps.
A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at St. Paul Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond Joyner, Troy Goss, Jack Pace, Louis Logue, Michael Logue, John Coccaro, Jimmy W. Buell, Aaron LeBlanc, Patrick Coccaro, and Adam LeBlanc.
