Lillian May Jeffers

Lillian May Jeffers died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 97.
Born in South Dakota, she lived her early life there before living a number of years in Pasadena, California. She then moved to Redwood in 1954 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was formerly employed as a waitress at Wyatt’s Sporting Goods and the former Holiday Inn. She also taught painting classes for 20 years at the Stitch and Frame Shop in Vicksburg. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Betty Lou) Jeffers of Vicksburg; three grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with Larry Macomber officiating.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Britton, Gus Grimshell, Johnny Grimshell, Wesley Whitaker, Dillon Jeffers, Joe Jeffers and Corey Jeffers.
Honorary pallbearers will be high school classmates of Joe and Betty Lou Jeffers.
