shooting suspects charged

Vicksburg police have arrested two men and issued a warrant for a third in a reported Dec. 24 early morning shooting incident that occurred in the area of Washington and Crawford streets.
Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Leslie Watts Jr., 25, 1105 Ernie Martin Drive, Utica, is charged with attempted aggravated assault and two counts of shooting into a motor vehicle in the case, and Don Londray Bradley, 24, 1770 Ernie Martin Drive, Utica, is charged with obstruction of justice.
Watts is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $120,000 bond. Bradley is being held in the county jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Edwards said a warrant has been issued for Johnny Gibson, 35, of 215 Wagwood St., Jackson, charging him with attempted aggravated assault and two counts of shooting into a motor vehicle.
According to police reports, officers were called about 1:37 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Washington Street.
Witnesses told police they heard a group men arguing when shots rang out, and officers discovered a number of shell casings in the street. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police later learned two vehicles left the area immediately after the shooting, a white GMC pickup and a red Chevrolet Malibu, and the people in the vehicles were responsible for the shooting.
Police later were able locate the vehicles and the occupants.
