Funeral services for Janice M. Chiplin are to be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, in Mount Carmel M.B. Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mack Cook officiating; interment is to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Jan. 25, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Janice M. Chiplin passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20 in Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 69. She had worked in the health care field and was a member of the Mount Carmel M.B. Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Chiplin of Vicksburg; her sons, Robert Martin of Vicksburg and Cedric Figures of Jackson; her daughters, Pamela Nicole Jackson of Vicksburg and Stephanie Figures Smith of Arlington, Texas; her mother, Willie Mae Martin Atkins of Vicksburg; her brother, Charles Atkins of Vicksburg; her sisters Diane Atkins Guy of Tallulah and Sandra Atkins of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
