Pair indicted by grand jury for murder

Two Vicksburg men have been indicted by a Warren County grand jury for murder in the shooting death of another man who was participating with them in an attempted home invasion.
Kiante Rashad Baker, 20, no address listed, and Deairris Lyndell Thomas, 20, no address given, are charged with murder in the death of Deangelo Fields during the attempted home invasion at a house in the 3100 block of Valley Street in June.
Baker is accused of shooting Fields in the face during the invasion. Officers responding to the call of a possible home invasion arrived to find Fields lying in the street with a gunshot wound.
In other cases:
• Latoya Alize-Rosheka Williams, 22, 122 Alfred Drive, was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault-extreme indifference. She is accused of striking Ashley Smith in the face with a bottle.
• Depeytric Coleman, 17, 1234 East Ave., was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault and shooting at a motor vehicle. He is accused of shooting at Danny Woodland and Keonna Rogers during an incident while the pair were in Woodland’s car.
• Cameron Fredrick Calvin, 22, 138 Elizabeth Circle, was indicted on a charge of statutory rape involving a July 2018 incident in which he had sex with a 15-year-old juvenile.
• Thomas Lee Giles, 23, 129 North Water St., Yazoo City, was indicted on a charge of armed robbery. He is accused of using a concrete block to rob a Catholic priest during an April 15 robbery.
• Shelby Leigh McKnight, 24, 1000 Commons Circle, possession of methamphetamine.
• Kenneth Dwayne Hall, 35, 1517 South St., and Joe Rushing, 47, 1517 First North St., sale of marijuana.
• Dale Christopher Davis, 32, 115 Drake Road, fourth-offense DUI.
• Charlie Tucker, 60, 10885 Highway 22, Bolton, fourth-offense DUI.
