James Ray Van Etten

James Ray Van Etten died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at his home. He was 62.

He was born in Vicksburg on Aug. 8, 1956, the son of Paul Van Etten and Peggy Heggins Van Etten Wester. He was lay pastor and a member of Vicksburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church and leaves behind a very loving church family. His life was a testament that a person can change his life.

He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Paula Fielder.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Van Etten; sons, Jimmy Reid and Chance Reid; daughters, Amanda Grey,Tia Spencer and Jacki Thompson; sister, Edna Tilden; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25. 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home, with Rev. Todd Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the hour of the service.
