Edward McWilliams was born on Dec. 31, 1953, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, to the late Charles McWilliams Sr. and Princess Promise McWilliams Montgomery. Edward accepted Christ at an early age. He departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019, in St. Joseph, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles McWilliams Sr. and Princess Promise McWilliams Montgomery; his stepmother, Mrs. Claudia Simpson; his sisters, Connie Promise and Annette Davis; and his brothers, Kenny McWilliams and George Richardson.

He leaves to cherish his memories 12 sisters and three brothers listed as follows: Princess Promise Sanders (Don Sanders), Mary Jackson, Briggett Spencer Simon, Cynthia Promise Moore (late Jessie Moore), Alice McWilliams, Stephanie Curtis (Johnny Curtis), all of Vicksburg; Shelley (Frank) Smith, Barbara (Aubrey) Lundy, Ola McWilliams, Clyde (Lettie) McWilliams, Christine McWilliams, all of Saint Joseph, Louisiana; Marilyn J. Guice of West Monroe, Louisiana, Charles (Trina) McWilliams of Killeen, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and two special friends, Mary Jo Ross and Jerry Shields.
