Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Mother Mattie B. Gary Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Christian Home No. 2 M.B. Church at 2 p.m. Mother Gary will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2019, at C J Williams Mortuary Services from 1-6 p.m. with family present from 5-6 p.m.

Mother Gary was a faithful member of Christian Home No. 2, where she served in many different capacities in the church for over 50 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Harvey Gary; three daughters, Johanna (Will) Hull, Sherry Gary, Frannie (Percy) Gary-Carter; one son, Harvey Lee Gary Jr.; one stepson, Harvey Gary Funches; one stepdaughter, Lilly (James) Scott; three sisters, one brother, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
