Funeral services for Joseph L. Moore Sr., are to be held on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. E E Gibbs officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, March 29, from 5-6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Joseph L. Moore Sr., passed away on Saturday, March 23, in Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 69. 

He was a self-employed carpenter and member of the King David M. B. Church #1.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Moore, mother, Thelma Jainks, and his brother, John Moore.

He is survived by his son, Joseph L. Moore Jr., of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Moore of Vicksburg.
