LORMAN — Due to the threat of expected severe weather in the area throughout the day and in the interest of public safety, Alcorn State University has canceled the 2019 Purple & Gold Spring Football Game and postponed all outdoor activities associated with the event including the Parade of Champions, King of the Grill Competition and President’s Tailgate.

The Lady Braves Softball team has moved its Saturday doubleheader against Jackson State to Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Alcorn Softball Complex. The Lady Braves will play a single game Friday at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
