Mary Ann Hanks

Mary Ann Hanks died Thursday, June 6, 2019.  She was 75.

Mrs. Hanks retired from the U.S. Department of Minerals Management and River Hills Bank.  She had been a resident of the Lake Claiborne Community for the past 25 years. She was a member of Stepping Stone Baptist Church of Port Gibson.

Mrs. Hanks was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hanks; her parents, Grady and Catherine Miller; and a brother, Terry Miller.

She is survived by her son, James Hanks (Alison) of Kansas City, Mo.; her daughter, Missy Giles (Kevin) of Covington, La.; three grandchildren, Brandon Giles, Jude Hanks, and Thea Hanks; her in-laws:  Charlene Hughes, Harvey H. “Buddy” Hanks (Jane), Charles E. “Bubba” Hanks (Linda), Richard E. Hanks (Dutch), Tina Hanks Parris (Steve), William B. “Bill” Hanks (Bonnie), Maudie H. Ellis (Mike), Emily Mitchell, Sharon Brague Hanks and Mary Ann Miller; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Riles Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
