Funeral services for Elnora Franklin Wilcox will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Clark officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral from 6 to 7 p.m.

Ms. Wilcox passed away Monday, June 17, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 104.

She was a longtime educator and teaching supervisor in Laurel. She was a graduate of Magnolia High School.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Jackson State College and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott Franklin and Josephine Miles Franklin; her sisters, Roxana Franklin, Ethel Franklin Lassiter, Mary Franklin Phillips and Carrie Franklin.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews from Vicksburg, Virginia, Texas, Nebraska, Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama.
