Robert Paul “Bob” Anderton passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019. He was 61 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Louise Anderton; and two brothers, Tommy Anderton and Andy Anderton.
He is survived by his wife Liesel; and two sons, Matt Anderton and Bill Katzenmeyer; brothers, Gary Anderton (Cherie) of Vicksburg and Larry Anderton (Dawn) of Greenwood; his aunt, Sue Rowlett of Vicksburg; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Having lived his whole life in Vicksburg, Bob was very well known throughout his hometown. He was a service manager at several auto dealerships in Raymond and Vicksburg, serving thousands of customers over several decades.
He followed these many years in the auto service business with his recent career as a real estate agent. For nearly four decades, Bob enjoyed meeting and serving the people in the Vicksburg community in addition to being a kind and loving father, husband, and friend to all.
Bob was a renowned outdoorsman, and he loved sharing this passion with his family and his large circle of friends. He is the center of many wonderful memories made in the woods or on the water that his family and friends will cherish forever.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his presence and character will never be forgotten.
Arrangements have been made with Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
