A joint investigation Thursday by Vicksburg police, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Gaming Commission and the FBI Task Force into complaints of prostitution resulted in the arrests of five people, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
He said four women and one man were arrested on prostitution charges in the Thursday night sting operation.
Pace declined to release the names because the charges are misdemeanors. None of the people arrested were from Vicksburg, authorities said.
Vicksburg police booked two people from Grenada, while three from Jackson were booked at the Warren County jail.
Four of the people were later released on bond. One remained at the county jail on a hold issued by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
