Funeral services for Barbara Jean Shelby will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at First Baptist Church 1511 1/2 Lane St with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Shelby passed away July 27, at Merit Health River Region following a lengthy illness. She was 68 and was a retired dietitian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Rose Caldwell Shelby Sr.; her son, Clarence Shelby; her sisters Betty Parker and Rosemary Johnson.

She is survived by her three sons, Antonio McGloster, Dion McGloster and Davon McGloster, all of Vicksburg; and her two sisters, Charlie Mae Williams of Vicksburg and Shevette McGee of Chicago, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
