Sandy Manadier Hodge Sr.

Mr. Sandy Manadier Hodge Sr. passed away Oct. 10, 2019, in Tinley Park, Ill.
Mr. Hodge served in the United States Army during World War II. At the time of discharge he had risen in rank to sergeant. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Hodge married Emma Louise Jones (deceased) and to this union two children were born, Sandy “Baby Sandy” M. Hodge Jr. and Jacqueline Jassmine Hodge Walker.
He was employed with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Waterways Experiment Station (WES). During his employment with WES, Mr. Hodge traveled extensively, domestically internationally.
He was preceded in death by his son, Sandy M. Hodge Jr.; one grandson, Michael Hodge; parents, John Wesley Hodge Jr. and Bertha Green Hodge; two brothers, John W. Hodge III, Ernest (Bernice) Hodge; and one sister, Doris Katherine Washington.
Mr. Hodge leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hodge Walker of Vicksburg; granddaughters, La’Sandra Davis (Marcus) of Vicksburg, Jessica Louise Walker of Pittsburg, Kansas, Ida Denise Hodge and Sondra Hodge both of Texas; brother William Hodge of Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren and friends, his longtime companion Deloris Stovall and family of Tinley Park, Ill.
