A celebration of life has been scheduled for Rosa Mae Carter Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at Rose Hill Baptist Church at 11 a.m.

Rosa will lie in repose at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Visitation will be Sunday at C J Williams Mortuary Services from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7.

Rosa transitioned this life on Christmas night at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was 74.

Rosa was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist church until her demise. She is a 1963 graduate of Rosa A Temple High. She furthered her education, receiving a degree in the health care profession as a nurse. Rosa retired from the Vicksburg Clinic after 40-plus years in the health care profession.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Carter; her siblings, Aleck Tolliver, Birda Williams, Gloria Smith, Ella Thomas, Lonnie Williams Jr., Bobby Williams and John Williams.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; her two daughters, Carolyn Gaines and Sharon Carter; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and a host of other family members and friends.
