Water main break leads to low water pressure

A break in a 6-inch main waterline Tuesday in the Buena Vista and Hillside Circle area caused a drop in water pressure to homes and businesses in the area.
Dane Lovell, superintendent of the city’s water and gas department, said the cause of the break was the soil around the pipe shifting.
“Just a lot of bad weather; just a lot of rain,” he said.
He said Tuesday afternoon city water department crews were replacing the damaged section, and service was expected to be restored later Tuesday.
