Linda J. Miller, 70, passed away Feb. 5, 2020, in the comfort of her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Wheeler Prescott and mother, Edna Mae “Patsy” Prescott.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard K. Miller
She has two brothers, Bennie Prescott (Joyce) and Randy Prescott (Joseph); three children, Robin Stephens (Gracy), Kimbila Schaffer (Robert) and Scarlet “Misty” Bagby (Jamie); six grandchildren, Amanda Williams, Brian and Patrick Stephens, Rhett and Emilee Bloodworth and Ethan Bagb; and two great-grandchildren, Grayson Hoofman and Kolt Hamilton.
She was successful at several occupations in life. She worked as a secretary at the University of Alabama, worked for Brice Hospital in Alabama, Westinghouse in Alabama, Bechtel Nuclear Power plant (Grand Gulf) in Port Gibson and Durst Drugs in Vicksburg.
She had a knack for decorating. Her house was filled with love in every inch. She loved working in her yard and gardening. She loved the movie “Gone With the Wind.”
She loved buttons and wondered about the person who might have worn them before she found them.
She was a caring, loving, and giving person. She loved to meet people. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother “The Best of Each.” She was the greatest wife you could ask for and the greatest mom any child could have.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Ave. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mark Presley, Jamie Bagby, Robert Schaffer, Rhett Bloodworth, Brian Stephens and Robin Stephens.
Honarary pallbearer is Randy Prescott.
