Wanda Joy Jeter

Wanda Joy Jeter passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at her home at the age of 80.
Wanda was born on February 3, 1940, the daughter of Ben and Gertrude Durrance Poe. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J. B. Poe, Gurvis Poe and Marcel Poe; and two sisters, Pauline Moore and Ruby Lofton.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Douglas Carlton Jeter Sr.; her sons, Doug Jeter (Debbie) of Redwood and Keith Jeter (Melissa) of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; daughter, Vicky Johnston (Jimmy) of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Corey Bryant (Heather), Ashley Coomes (Michael), Carlton Jeter, Baylee Jeter, Evan Jeter and Will Jeter; great-grandchildren, Jake Bryant, McKayla Quinton, Cohen Coomes and Callen Coomes; great-great-grandchild, Hagen Quinton; brother, Otis Poe and sister, Merle Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at Glenwood Funeral Home, with Keith Jeter officiating the service. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carlton Jeter, Will Jeter, Evan Jeter, Corey Bryant, Michael Coomes and Jimmy Johnston.
