Funeral services for Mineva Russum will be held Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m. in St. May’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Beth Palmer officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
There will be a visitation held Friday, March 13 from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mineva Russum passed away Sunday, March 8 following a brief illness. She was 84. She had worked as a home health professional. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She had been active in the Tyner Ford Post 213 Women’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Luella Mae Cooper; her husband, Scott Russum Sr.; and her son, Scott Russum Jr.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Loving of Vicksburg; her daughters, Linda Washington of Vicksburg and Barbara Richardson of Madison; her brother, Roosevelt Cooper of Vicksburg; and her three sisters, Alma Donald of Vicksburg, Jennie Kinnard, and Marion Cooper, both of Clinton; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
