Mr. Kelvin Horton Jr. passed away on March 13, 2020. He was 27 years old.

Services for Kelvin L. Horton Jr. will be held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home, 4155 S.R.L Thornton Fwy., Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Horton.

Mr. Horton joined church and was baptized at Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Vicksburg at an early age.

Mr. Horton had a gift and passion for music as a child that was cultivated into his adulthood. He believed in the importance of family, creating memories and making a positive impact in the lives of people he encountered daily. He would always look for ways to be of service to others.

He will be remembered by the many imprints by his Artist name, the Finessgod. His legacy will continue to live through his family and his music. His music can be listened to and shared on his YouTube channel: Finesse06 and Soundcloud: The Finesse God.

He is survived by his mother and father, Kisha and Kelvin Horton of Vicksburg; paternal grandfather, Calvin (Queen) Horton; maternal grandparents, Patricia and Stanley Deshazer of Vicksburg; great-grandmother, Natalie Hall of Vicksburg; sons, Kelvin Horton III and Sunshine Coby of Dallas; a brother and two sisters, Hakeem Horton, Kayla Clay and Dominique Horton of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Horton, Clay, Hall and Strong families.
