Graveside services for Mrs. Gary Burns will be held Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Reginald Walker officiating.

Mrs. Burns passed away Sunday, March 28 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 90.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Hardy and Irenza Bass.

She is survived by her son, Richard Burns of Matton, Ill.; her six daughters, Carolyn Phillitson of San Antonio, Texas, Jeannie Ross of Jackson, Evelyn Shorter, Maria Denise Burns, Sherry Burns and Terry Burns, all of Vicksburg; and her sister, Betty Smith of San Antonio, Texas; and 16 grandchildren.
