In an email to sponsors, Vicksburg Convention Center Executive Director Annette Kirklin announced a new date for the 7th annual Ritz on the River event.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the convention center will hold the community event on Sept. 17. The event is traditionally held in July.

“The 7th annual Ritz on the River- Disco Ball will have an extra layer of excitement added to it this year,” Kirklin said. “Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, July 7 (Ticketmaster and VCC box office) and we have been told to be prepared for them to go fast. We know everyone will be ready to hang with friends and dance the night and worries away. We are excited about the sponsors, band, decorations and to support the Good Shepherd Community Center.”
