Dorothy ‘Dot’ Cook Bragg Tetlak Hunter

Dorothy “Dot” Cook Bragg Tetlak Hunter, a longtime resident of Vicksburg and Daphne, Ala., passed away April 28, 2020, at the age of 91 following a stroke.
Dot is survived by her three children, Norman Bragg Jr. and wife Phyllis, Janice Maaskant and husband Robert, and Paul Bragg and wife Heather; her five step-children, Lenny Tetlak and wife Mary, Tom Tetlak and wife Linda, Judy Gawelek and husband Dave, Beverly Koepp and husband Mike, Charles Hunter and wife Marilyn; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her three husbands, Norman Bragg Sr., Edward Tetlak and Gary Hunter; her parents, Robert and Edna Cook; her siblings, Juanita Fields, Johnnie E. Cook and Vera Emfinger; and two granddaughters, Julie Christine Gray and Chelsea Ann Bragg.
Dot was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District and the Waterways Experiment Station for many years. She bowled and was inducted into the Women Bowlers Hall of Fame. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She was active at the Senior Center in Daphne, Ala. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, Ala. and previously at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg.
A private graveside service will be held in Vicksburg.
