Warren Dale Gaddis

Warren Dale Gaddis, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away in hospice care at home in Vicksburg on April 28, 2020.
Born in Taylorsville to Leon and Hortense Gaddis, Dale attended Central High school in Jackson. He was a founding member of the Air National Guard in Mississippi and Mason.
A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Dale had a love for the Lord that he knew deep in his heart. He derived great enjoyment in learning new things and cultivated many hobbies and skills including painting, woodworking and making jewelry.
He had a special fondness for Civil War History. For many years, he owned Gaddis Screen Printing and Signs where he channeled his artistry into graphics, signs, T-shirts and banners that were displayed all across the state.
During this time, he loved supporting both of his sons’ softball leagues with T-shirts and baseball caps. Dale could fix anything and was often dispatched to help family and friends.
He was devoted to his wife Frances and their home. In his later years, he got enjoyment and companionship out of his dogs Teddy and Little Bit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Gaddis; sister-in-law Bobbie Gaddis and son, Eddie Gaddis.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Frances B. Gaddis; children, Bo Gaddis (Kim) of Terry and Lynn Gaddis Strange (Bob) of Terry; grandchildren, Chris Gaddis Lusteck (Patrick) of Rosemount, Minn., Amanda Harris Gutierrez of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Thomas (Jeremy) of Louisiana; eight great-grandchildren and sister Becky Curtis of Pensacola.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude’s and Shriners Hospital for Children
