Funeral services for Austin “Lanky” Anderson Jr. will be held Saturday, May 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the graveside in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Virdell Lewis officiating.
Austin “Lanky” Anderson Jr., a Vicksburg native passed away in Plano, Texas, Saturday, May 2, 2020, following a brief illness. He was 51. He was a chef and worked in the foodservice industry. He was a member of King David No. 1 M B Church.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Doyle Anderson of Dallas, Texas; his two sons, Jaboris McDaniel and Antonio Brown, both of Vicksburg; his six daughters, Jakeecia Anderson of Eulles, Texas, Kierra Brown of Gulfport, LaKeysha Anderson of Fort Worth, Texas, Taylor Anderson of Dallas, Texas, Kaitlyn Anderson of Dallas, Texas, and Amari Anderson of Houston, Texas, his father, Austin Anderson Sr. of Vicksburg; and mother, Charlie Mae Williams of Vicksburg; his six brothers, John Shelby Sr. of Waynesboro, Derrick Anderson of Edwards, Mark Anderson of Vicksburg, Zebedee Anderson of San Antonio, Texas and Atrao Anderson of Gulfport; his five sisters Angela Anderson Wilson and Eliza Anderson both of Edwards, and Gwendolyn Santiago of Torrance, Calif., Rasheeda Anderson of Long Beach, Calif. and Solange Hildreth of Los Angeles; and 11 grandchildren.
