TALLULAH — The city of Tallulah issued a statement just after 9 a.m. advising residents in Madison Parish to be cautious following reports of an escape from the Madison Parish Detention Center in Tallulah.

According to the city, a male reportedly escaped from the detention center, located on Old Highway 65 South, at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday.

“Parish residents are asked to be on high alert around your homes,” the city said in posts shared on social media.

The Post is working to get additional details from officials with the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office and LaSalle Corrections.
