Graveside services for Mrs. Richard Turner Hicks will be Saturday, June 13, at Welcome Cemetery in Edwards at 2 p.m. under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Hicks passed away Sunday, June 7, in Flower Mound, Texas after a brief illness. She was 80. She was a retired registered nurse and member of St. Paul M. B. Church of Utica.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Lucille Banks Turner Sr.; her husband, Hernando Hicks Sr.; her son, Jefferey Hicks; her brothers, Leon Turner, Jr., David Turner and Percy Turner; her sisters, Mattie Turner Robinson and Vantee Turner Hunter.

She is survived by her two sons, Hernando Hicks of Matthews, N.C., and Antonio Hicks of Killeen, Texas; her devoted caregiver, Angela Hicks-Meriday of Carrolton, Texas; and a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and others.
