Minnie Estella (Stella) Gibson

Minnie Estella (Stella) Gibson passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at the Heritage House In Vicksburg. She was 95.

She joined her lifelong partner of 59 years, David Lee Gibson. Born in Winona, and a resident of Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Guy Cecil Miller and the late Berdine Artman Miller, both of Winona.

Ms. Gibson attended St. Paul  Catholic Church in Vicksburg, where she was a lifelong member. She was a member of the Altar Society and Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Gibson worked for many years as a bank teller at Merchants National Bank in Vicksburg and later worked for the State Welcome Center where she later retired with the state. She and her late husband, David Lee Gibson volunteered much of their time at the Southern Heritage Air Foundation Museum.

Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David Lee Gibson; her sister, Joyce Miller Williams (Tommy) of Jackson; and her brother, Guy Cecil Miller Jr. (Faye) of Vicksburg.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lee Ann Gibson Botsford of Vicksburg, and Andrea Gibson Lewis (Neal) of Vicksburg; two grandsons, Dustin Lee Pagan and Laney Patrick Lewis, both of Vicksburg; two granddaughters, Brittany Nicole Pigg and Rebecca Lauren Pigg, both of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended loving family members.

We will celebrate our precious mother’s life with a graveside service Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill  Cemetery under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, our family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (St. Jude.org).
