Funeral services for Korey Dewayne Dykes Jr. will be held Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the City Auditorium with the Rev. Frank Gardner Jr. officiating Interment shall follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. with social guidelines strictly observed.

Korey Dewayne Dykes Jr. passed away Aug. 7, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 17. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eddie McCoy; and paternal grandmother, Annie Jordan.

He is survived by his father, Korey Dykes Sr. of Vicksburg; stepfather, Patrick Wilson of Vicksburg; his mother, Felecia Wilson of Vicksburg; his brother, Cameron Johnson of Vicksburg; his three sisters, Ja’Meshia Watkins, Reginae Houston and Kortni Dykes all of Vicksburg; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Gardner of Vicksburg; and maternal grandfather, Rev. Frank Gardner Jr.
