Alma Rae “Peggy” Dudley died Aug. 19, 2020. She was 92.

Born on Nov. 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles Leonard Dudley and Olive Downey Dudley. Peggy was co-founder and member of Old Time Music Association and a lifelong member of Vicksburg Church of Christ. Peggy worked for Western Union for many years and also was a historian for Battlefield Museum, The Grey and Blue Corps of Engineers Naval Museum.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Lee Dudley Sr. and brother-in-law, Robert “Son” Harris Sr.; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hoxie Dudley.

Peggy is survived by her sister, Mary Dudley Harris; brother, Charles Frederick Dudley Sr. (Carolyn); eight nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
