Holim Lee

Holim Lee passed away peacefully at home in Tyrone, Ga. on Aug. 29, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kyong Im Lee.
He is survived by two daughters, Mi Hyang Faulks, and her husband, Jim Faulks, Miron Salvador, and her husband, Dean Salvador; one son, Kye Han Lee and his wife, Yun Hee Lee; eight grandchildren, Dr. Emily Faulks, and her husband, Hubbard Young, Dr. Steven Faulks, Daniel Salvador, Laura Salvador, Sarah Salvador, Christian Lee, Michael Lee and Amy Lee; and one precious great-granddaughter, Ima Young;
He cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and loved FaceTiming with his only great-granddaughter.
Holim and his young family immigrated to Vicksburg from South Korea in December 1969. He worked as a carpenter for LeTourneau for a number of years before becoming a successful businessman. He owned and operated several businesses in Vicksburg and Natchez. He was most proud of Lee’s Children’s Clothing in Battlefield Mall and Pemberton Square Mall in Vicksburg.
He was a founding elder of the Korean Presbyterian Church in Raymond. He was active in the church prior to moving to Tyrone, Ga. in 2017.
He was a self-taught golfer in retirement. He was an avid golfer and played five days a week until two years ago when his health declined. He especially enjoyed playing in senior tournaments.
He was a skilled carpenter and built our family home in Natchez. He was a meticulous craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He built wooden rocking horses for all of his grandchildren to enjoy with their future families. He crafted working clocks in the shapes of the states of Mississippi, Texas and Korea and shared them with friends.
He enjoyed gardening. He planted vegetables each year and grew Korean yellow melons.
Funeral services will be private due to COVID restrictions.
