Graveside services for Annie Bell Adams will be Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at Cedar Hill Cemetery at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Virdell Lewis Jr. officiating.  

Annie Bell Adams passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 88. She had worked as a housekeeper and had been a member of the Rose Hill M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Annie Johnson Swartz Sr.; her son, Newton Lee Nix; her brothers, Robert Swartz, Dan Swartz Jr. and Roosevelt Swartz; her sisters, Betha Swartz Tolliver and Ruby Ella Mae Swartz.  

She is survived by her granddaughter Cecilia Tankersley of Chicago; and her great-granddaughter, Paris Anderson of Chicago; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
