Letter to the editor: Thanks to those who helped make Ritz on the River successful

Published 5:58 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Dear editor,

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many organizations and individuals that supported the 7th annual Ritz on the River Disco Ball. The Phunky Monkeys really shined the whole night entertaining the crowd with their special disco flair.  The dance floor showcased with the many attendees decked out in their disco garb really made the night extra special.

In a time of a pandemic, regulations and protocols, the attendees came together to have fun despite the dark cloud that has been looming for the past seven months. With a portion of the proceeds going to Good Shepherd Community Center, it really brought home the whole meaning of how our city is far above others. The participation of the attendees responding to the theme of the evening was heartwarming and really shows the togetherness of our amazing city.
