A celebration of life for Mary Thigpen Brent Howard has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at St. Mary United Methodist Church in Crystal Springs.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at the House of Peoples in Hazelhurst from noon until 5 p.m.

Mary will lie in repose at St.Mary United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.

Mary was a retired educator and taught for a number of years for the Orleans Parish School District in New Orleans and the Copiah County School District.

She leaves to cherish her golden memories her husband, Ronald Howard; her son, Gary Brent Jr.; one daughter, Trina Norris; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mary transitioned on Sept. 24, 2020, at the age of 66.
