Riley Sylvester Ramshur passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at his home. He was 81.

Riley was born on April 7, 1939, the son of Abner and Alice Walker Ramshur. He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg where he retired from Lee’s Body Shop after 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and a dedicated poker player with his buddies on Tuesday nights. He was an amazing Paw Paw. He attended Solid Rock Church.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa B. Ramshur; six daughters, Hattie Ramshur, Brenda Ramshur, Laura Ramshur, Alice Faye Cartier, Barbara Ramshur and Frances Ramshur; three sons, Ricky Ballard, Johnny Ramshur and Joey Ramshur; three sisters, Faye Dumas, Nancy Ramshur and Bea Rambowski; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
