Kalia Bland Vicksburg, So./Hurdles Reached the MHSAA Class 5A state meet in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles
Marley Bufkin Porter’s Chapel, Fr./Sprints Won the MAIS District 3-3A championship in both the 100 and 200 meters
Samantha Edwards St. Aloysius, Fr./Distance Freshman distance runner won the MAIS Class 5A South State title in the 3,200 meters and finished fifth at the state meet
Rodrianna Hall Vicksburg, So.,/Jumps MHSAA Class 5A North State champion in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet, 6 inches ... finished fourth at the state meet
Cati Mathews St. Aloysius, Sr./Sprints and Hurdles Finished second in MAIS Class 5A in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.40 seconds ... also reached the state meet in the 100 meter hurdles and 4x200 and 4x100 meter relays
Jae’la Smith Warren Central, So./Jumps Won the Division 3-6A and Region 3-6A championship in the high jump with a top height of 5 feet
Jelisa Tyler Vicksburg, Jr./Throws Reached the Class 5A state meet in the shot put after winning the North State title
Shaniyah Walker Vicksburg, So./Sprints Finished sixth in MHSAA Class 5A in the 400 meters ... also part of the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays that reached the state meet

St. Aloysius - 4x100 and 4x200 Relay/Presley Brister, Ally Doiron, Cati Mathews, Megan Theriot/St. Al’s quartet of sprinters finished fifth in the 4x100 relay and sixth in the 4x200 at the MAIS Class 5A state meet
Each year, The Vicksburg Post honors Warren County’s top performers during the high school track and field season. Each of the county’s four high schools — Vicksburg High, Warren Central, Porter’s Chapel Academy and St. Aloysius — had athletes reach the MHSAA or MAIS state meets in 2022.
