Warren County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man in connection with a shooting that took place during a fight early Friday morning.
Two men were injured in the shooting, which took place in the parking lot of the K&B Lounge on Green Hill Road off U.S. 80.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Vicksburg-Warren 911 received a call just after 3 a.m. Friday about shots fired in the parking lot of the K&B. About the same time, two men were brought to the Merit Health River Region emergency room by private vehicle, each with a gunshot wound.
According to sheriff’s office reports, the men who were shot and several other people were involved in an argument at a business in Vicksburg. They left and went to the K&B Lounge, where a fight broke out in the parking lot. Shots were fired and one man was shot in the buttocks and the other in the calf of the lower left leg. Neither were life-threatening injuries.
Pace said investigators have identified the shooter but declined to identify the individual, citing the ongoing investigation into the shooting.
“Investigators are continuing to interview people today (Friday),” Pace said. “We’ve interviewed and continue to interview several people but it appears at this time that there was one shooter.”
