Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Blanks departed for Memphis to make their home. • Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Mackey returned from their honeymoon.

Billy Martin was assigned to the Navy Training School at Great Lakes Illinois. • Archie Feith was on the sick list. • Lt. J.A. Hutcheson of the Seabees was here visiting friends.

F.D. Bishop, section foreman of the Illinois Central Railroad at Beechwood retired after holding that position since 1907. • Mr. and Mrs. James Harvey announced the birth of a daughter, Sylvia.
