James A. Cardwell, Sr., 79,  passed away Tues., Dec. 12, at his home in Tallulah, La., at approximately 6 p.m. due to past complications of COPD status.

A memorial service for Mr. Cardwell will be held Sat., Jan. 6, at his son’s home, 201 Chadwick Lane, Vicksburg, Miss., starting at 10 a.m.
