New year, new team for Ben Brown.

The former Ole Miss and St. Aloysius High School star is getting another chance in the NFL after the Arizona Cardinals signed him to their practice squad on Monday.

Brown, a versatile offensive lineman who can play guard or center, is with his third team this season. He was released by the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of training camp and then signed with the Seattle Seahawks a few days later.

The Vicksburg native originally signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2022.

Brown was signed to the Seahawks’ active roster and played in one game for the team in September, then was moved to the practice squad. The Seahawks released him in November.

The Cardinals added Brown after veteran offensive tackle D.J. Humphries was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Arizona (4-12) has one game left this season — coincidentally, against Brown’s former team the Seahawks, on Sunday.

Arizona has nine healthy offensive linemen listed on its active roster, so it’s uncertain whether Brown will be promoted to the active roster.
